Early on working in the industry during a particularly interesting set of builds there was a problem. One of those “uh-oh” moments where everyone goes how did no one figure this out before. One day before the event opened and with limited ability to adjust the site, it happened to be a particularly expensive yacht, everyone was scrambling for ideas. A plan was hatched involving some equipment from a friend on another project, some safety/rigging equipment, and careful maneuvers made across 30+ feet of open water to a 3rd story deck. After successfully getting operations back on track a client came up and said, “You come up with these ideas. And they sound crazy, but then I watch you do them and I think that was actually genius.” The reply, “Well the only difference between a crazy idea and genius one is successful execution.” The seeds of crazy genius started to form.

Problem solving and out-there innovation is where the passion for custom fabrication first began. 15+ years worth of experience and execution in displays and temporary structures later the goal of crazy genius is to build, design, and engineer the ideas that you imagine into real world execution. We want to continue building the difficult, the interesting, the things that make you look twice. You come up with the crazy ideas and we’ll focus on the genius execution.

And remember, your ideas don’t have to live in a box but you should probably ship them in one.
